You asked me if I'd wait,
though you already know.
Our love won't dissipate,
and I will never go.

I'll wait for you forever,
for time cannot contain.
Time might think it's clever,
it only tries in vain.

My love cannot be stayed,
endless as the sky.
So clearly I've displayed,
even when I sigh.

To you I wrap this gift,
open it when ready.
Out of it you will lift,
my heart and soul so steady.

I'll keep my every vow,
each promise that I make.
So many I have now,
of which I'll never break.

You asked me if I'd wait,
though you already know.
Our love won't dissipate,
and I will never go.

I'll wait for you forever,
for time cannot contain.
Time might think it's clever,
it only tries in vain.
